Equipping the Next Generation

Each year, The Voice of the Martyrs works through its network of field leaders around the world to provide children of persecuted Christians with a special Christmas Care Pack. The contents, packed in a school-type backpack, are tailored to meet the needs of children in the nations where the packs are delivered. Each pack contains practical items like school supplies, clothing and hygiene products, and a toy is also included for each child. But the most important item in each Christmas Care Pack is an illustrated, full-color children’s Bible in the appropriate language. For a majority of the children, it is the first Bible they have ever owned.

After a distribution of Christmas Care Packs in Africa, the front-line worker who distributed the packs received calls from pastors telling him that the full-color Bibles the children received have helped them pay attention in Sunday school class. “If more of these projects are implemented in many parts of the country,” the front-line worker told VOM, “in the space of more years to come, we will have a strong future for the church, as the young generation will be equipped with the Word of God, and hence will not be deceived by any false doctrine or religion.” You may also give a Christmas Care Pack in honor of friends or family members. This is a great way to demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas and share your heart for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ with your loved ones. VOM will send a personal Christmas card, acknowledging your gift, to those honored through your Christmas Care sponsorship.
