Stop Going to Church, or Else …
“Brother Enfu” is the pastor of an unregistered (illegal) church in China. Every time his church meets, he and the other church members know that police could raid the service and close down their meeting. Church members have been told to stop attending services or risk losing their jobs, and other churches in the area have already been closed.

How do Chinese Christians deal with the constant, oppressive surveillance state that is modern-day China? “Everything is illegal in China,” Enfu says. So how do Christians overcome fear and continue serving Christ despite the high cost they may be asked to pay?

Listen to Brother Enfu’s interview with VOM Radio, as he shares about the increasing persecution in China, how pastors and churches are responding and how the gospel continues to spread. Enfu also suggests specific ways we can pray for our brothers and sisters in the Chinese church as well as for him and other church leaders.

Pastor being detained
Another Chinese house-church pastor also shared with VOM Radio recently. He has been detained by authorities more than 20 times, so for his protection we don’t use his name and we broadcast only the voice of his translator.

He says of course there is fear when police raid his church or arrest him. But he has seen God at work in prison cells as fellow prisoners have placed their faith in Christ. He says he’s willing to go back to prison if it is part of God’s purpose. His story will inspire you and better equip you to pray for Chinese Christians.
