LISTEN NOW: Update on Christians in Afghanistan
Although many Afghans fled their country as the Taliban took over last year, many stayed, including Afghan followers of Christ. Today, everyone in Afghanistan is dealing with a disrupted economy. Some have lost jobs, while others have lost family and friends. And all are dealing with a shortage of available resources. Christians are a persecuted minority, meeting underground in small groups, but they are still finding ways to quietly share the gospel.

Listen as John Weaver, who lived in Afghanistan and speaks daily with people still inside the country, shares what is happening now under the Taliban government — especially to our Christian brothers and sisters.

Weaver says some Afghans are now being reached through social media and other means in the countries to which they fled. While Afghan refugees have endured trauma and stress, they have been welcomed into their new homes, often by Christians, which provides more opportunities for sharing the gospel.

Listen now and be inspired to pray for Afghan Christians.
