Listen: Mosque Leader Finds Jesus
When an imam in Bangladesh came across the name Isa, or Jesus, in his Quran, he decided that as a mosque leader he should know more about Him. After asking around his village, he found a New Testament and began to read it. To his great surprise, he learned that in addition to being a prophet, Isa is the Son of God and the only way to salvation! But following Jesus, as the former imam also learned, can be dangerous in areas where Christians are persecuted.

That’s just one of the stories you’ll hear in this VOM Radio conversation with Matthew Hanson, VOM’s regional leader for South and Central Asia.

Matthew also shares what it’s like to be a Christian in India, where believers are oppressed by the country’s Hindu nationalist government and targeted by a nationwide network of radical Hindus. Matthew says that despite persecution, Christians in India, including children, are responding with grace and boldness, even to their persecutors.

Todd Nettleton speaking

How Do We Prepare for Persecution?
The Bible tells us that Christians will be persecuted (John 15:18–20, 2 Timothy 3:12), but most Christians in the U.S. and other Western nations have not experienced severe persecution because of their faith. What if that changes? How should Christians in Western nations prepare for persecution?

VOM Radio host Todd Nettleton shares specific lessons from Christians who have already faced and victoriously endured persecution. And Todd also discusses how we can use these lessons in our own spiritual walk. You will hear about the blessings found amid suffering for Christ and the ways God uses persecution to grow and strengthen His church.
