Be a part of sending HELP and HOPE to Christians in Sudan.
Thousands of persecuted Christians have had to flee the capital city of Khartoum, Sudan, to escape bombings, beheadings and the burnings of their churches.
Many of them are fleeing to the Nuba Mountains in the South Kordofan region in search of shelter, aid and hope.
In the 1990s, the significant Christian population in the Nuba Mountains suffered recurring attacks from the same generals now fighting each other near the capital. Thousands of bombs were dropped on communities in the area in the 1990s and into the 2000s, until a ceasefire was declared in 2005.
When South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in 2011, however, the Nuba Mountains remained a part of the northern nation and the Sudanese Army resumed its bombing campaign, which local Christian leaders have called an attempted genocide.
Still, Christians in the region have persevered in faith and are now welcoming those fleeing the violence in Khartoum.
VOM workers say that many Nuba Christians are playing a critical and strategic role in helping those affected by the fighting. But they need your help right now to continue to do so!
For decades, The Voice of the Martyrs has worked to support persecuted Christians in Sudan. Since the fighting broke out, VOM has already sent two shipping containers filled with medical kits, blankets and other material assistance for those taking refuge in the Nuba Mountains.
As our persecuted Christian family in Sudan continues to endure suffering and hardship, you can let them know they are not alone.
Your gift will help provide medical care, furnish temporary shelter, meet unique needs, supply food and equip our brothers and sisters to be bold witnesses.
