Girl handing out a Bible
The CCP considered her a threat. Now she’s in prison.
Fu Xuanjuan was the owner of Shenzhen Tree of Life Technology Development, a company that produced digital Bible players in China. On July 2, 2020, she was arrested and later convicted of “illegal business operation.” She appealed the conviction, but in January 2022 a Chinese court upheld the original verdict and sentenced her to six years in prison.

Fu’s company produced portable digital players that contained a narrated recording of the Bible as well as sermons and hymns. The players were especially useful to elderly Christians, but Chinese authorities viewed the players with suspicion.

Book Cover of When Faith is Forbidden
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) actively seeks to silence influential Christians like Fu through false accusations, unfounded charges and imprisonment. Countless Christian leaders in China are imprisoned or have recently been released from prison.

Yet our Christian brothers and sisters in Communist China continue to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, despite the risk.

You’re invited to help them stand firm in faith as they willingly pay a price for their faithful witness.

When our persecuted Christian family members in China face oppression from Communist authorities, encouragement and support from the global body of Christ let them know they are not alone. Your gift will help provide for their needs when they are persecuted and equip them to be bold witnesses.

Special offer! When you give any gift to support persecuted Christians, we’ll send you a free copy of When Faith Is Forbidden.
